Our renovated printing house has a new name: De Merling – the dialect word for blackbird. A fitting name, because the new printers, an enthusiastic couple, start every assignment whistling.
With great care, they, together with a few volunteers, have taken the printing house in hand. Presses, letter blocks and the entire interior have been cleaned, derusted, adjusted and provided with new ink rollers – a big job! Thanks to generous donations from members of Stichting Drukwerk in de Marge, the craft of printing in our museum village is alive and kicking again.
Come take a look and experience the art of traditional artisanal printing!
