Who are we?
At de Locht we keep the former existence in the North Limburg countryside alive. The museum breathes the atmosphere of a small traditional North Limburg village. A museum village full of stories about how people lived in the countryside, what clothes they wore, what they ate and how it was grown and prepared.

Feel at home as a volunteer
Museum village de Locht is fully maintained, managed and organised by over 200 volunteers who enjoy being here and feel at home at de Locht. The variety of work is great; from catering employee and curator, to director. Our museum is the place where you can give substance to your hobby, profession or craft together with others in a meaningful and fun way.
Whether you want to be a guide, make exhibitions or are rather active behind the scenes. Your efforts make a difference!
