At the museum village De Locht, children can discover the village of the past, together with our village children Sefke and Doortje. In recent years we have developed various school projects that focus on discovery learning and learning by doing. In this way we want to contribute to the cultural development of children. Because knowing the past helps us understand the present.

Our school projects
For primary education we have different school projects available in various themes. The projects can be customized in consultation.
Travel in Time
In addition to providing entertainment, as a museum we also want to contribute to the cultural development of children. That is why we participate in the Travel in Time project, which connects primary schools with museums. Travelling through time contains 11 themes, spread over 8 school years, which are linked to the museums’ programmes. Schools can choose their own teaching package that matches the curriculum. The museums’ offerings may consist of background information, stories, assignments and games. After lessons at school, a visit to the museum follows, which brings education to life.
