This exhibition is a collaboration between Museum de Locht and C.V. de Vlaskop, which was founded in 1962, a week earlier than D’n Dreumel from Horst, with the1st prince Wiel 1 (Alards).
The exhibition delves into the history of Carnival in general, but of course it also zooms in on the local past of this phenomenon.
With the help of clothing, photos and objects, showcases have been set up, extended to the textile pavilion where in the seasonal shop window the prince trio assists a real Farmer’s Wedding Scene.
There is also a cozy carnival café decorated with photos on the wall, here you can also take selfies with the carnival revelers who have ended up on tap in our Vlaskopcafé. Of course, the 55 Princes are not missing in the presentation!
The exhibition is set up in such a way that it is also fun for visitors who have nothing to do with the local – or in general – Carnival.
