At 11.00 and 12.00 the try-out of Men’s Choir Arch Luit from Arcen will take place in our chapel. During the try-out, mainly English-language works will be sung a cappella, including O when the saint, You never walk alone, What a wonderful world and K-K-K-Kathy, but also the popular Bella Ciao and the dialect song Wied es de Wind. Men’s choir Arch Lute currently has 21 members and is accompanied by conductor Pieter Bongaarts. The choir was founded in 1984 after a performance in the Revue of the Arcense Karnavalsvereniging De Keieschiéters. After the early years, the more carnivalesque and traditional men’s choir repertoire soon made way for more contemporary repertoire. With the arrival of Pieter Bongaarts in 2020, work has been done again on renewing the repertoire.
