The bakehouse was separated from the house, with a view to fire hazard. Bread was baked here once a week, for the residents of the farm and often also for the neighbours. Our bakehouse was built after the example of a bakehouse from this region. The bakehouse is regularly used on Sundays, to bake our own ‘Lochtbread’, but also to bake rolls together with children.
