  • Kinderen maken nestkastje

    Making a nest box

A nest box attracts birds to your garden. So cozy, all those little birds! It brings life to your garden. A nest box provides birds with shelter and nesting places: hiding in the winter, breeding in the spring. It’s fun to watch the creatures fly back and forth to feed their young.

Several members of the bird working group ‘t Hökske are ready today to help you build such a nest box. We’ll provide the necessary materials, such as wood and nails. We also have the tools on hand to build one. So, it should be a breeze! We charge a small fee for the materials.

Find a quiet spot in the garden to hang the cabinet, against a wall or a tree trunk. Definitely not in direct sunlight and sheltered from the wind. Secure it securely so it can’t move around. And… clean it annually in September or October. That way, you can enjoy it for a long time.

    En… geniet van de vogeltjes!

  • Miller

Six musicians find their own place in the band, each in their own way. Acoustic guitars, keyboards, dobro, accordion, mandolin, drums, and double bass create a warm atmosphere under the clear vocals. Acoustic songs; sometimes with folk influences and sometimes with a true Americana feel.

The name of the band is, how could it be otherwise, the same as the name of many pubs in Ireland. And the band’s motto is just as appropriate: “A song to a beer”.

Since its inception, The Nag’s Head has been playing cozy pub songs, melancholic traditionals, world-famous folk songs, moving ballads and the instrumental songs are not forgotten.
